Objective: This review aimed to evaluate impact of various micronutrients on bone health. The review yielded thorough insight on role of calcium, phosphorous and vitamin in connection with optimum bone health. Methods: This review article methodology included using three search engines. These were PubMed, Google and Google Scholar. The keywords were inclusive of vitamin D calcium, phosphorous, bone health and well-being. Inclusion criteria of articles included the ones from 2015-2025. Articles were included based on being published from the year 2015-2025. Out of 50 articles, 35 were included (75%). Results: The pivotal role of calcium in bone health maintenance was highlighted. In context of calcium, the absorption is impacted by various factors. These include age, various diseases and physical inactivity. Calcium has significant biological functions. Consequently, alterations in levels of serum calcium, can have significant impact on calcium homeostasis. Diminished levels of calcium lead to stimulation of parathyroid hormone via inactivating calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) in the parathyroid glands. Activation osteoblasts as well as osteocytes requires adequate levels of phosphorous. Vitamin D a fat soluble vitamin , assisting in maintenance of bone health and well-being via absorption of calcium, magnesium as well as phosphate. Vitamin D is formed following exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays. As result of sunlight coming in contact with the skin via triggering of a process, vitamin D is formed. Conclusion: Bone health maintenance is required in all stages of life. intake of calcium, phosphorpus and vitamin D, has a direct impact on bones.
