POLICIES

Peer Review Policy

The Indus Journal of Bioscience Research (IJBR) follows a double-blind peer review process, where the identity of the author(s) and the reviewer(s) are kept confidential to each other. This is done to ensure that the review process is fair and objective.

The peer review process for IJBR is as follows:

  1. The submitted manuscript is first screened by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure that it is within the scope of the journal and meets the submission guidelines.
  2. If the manuscript is found to be suitable for review, it is then sent to two or more independent reviewers who are experts in the field.
  3. The reviewers are asked to provide an assessment of the manuscript, including its originality, significance, and methodological soundness. They are also asked to recommend whether the manuscript should be published, revised, or rejected.
  4. The Editor-in-Chief then makes a decision based on the reviewers' reports.

The peer review process for IJBR is designed to ensure that only high-quality research is published in the journal. It also helps to ensure that the research is accurate and objective.

Here are some of the benefits of peer review:

  • It helps to ensure the quality of the research published in the journal.
  • It helps to identify potential errors or omissions in the research.
  • It helps to improve the clarity and presentation of the research.
  • It helps to ensure that the research is relevant to the field.
  • It helps to build a community of scholars who are engaged in the peer review process.

If you are interested in submitting your research to IJBR, please visit the journal's website for more information.

Paper Prints Policy

The Indus Journal of Bioscience Research (IJBR) does not charge authors for publication. However, there is an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 30,000 for the publication of each accepted article. This APC is used to cover the costs of peer review, editing, and publication.

The APC can be paid by the author or by their institution. If the author is unable to pay the APC, they can request a waiver. Waivers will be granted on a case-by-case basis, and the author must provide justification for the request.

The APC for the IJBR is lower than the APCs of many other journals. This is because the IJBR is a new journal and is still trying to establish itself. The journal hopes to eventually be able to waive the APC altogether.

The IJBR's paper prints policy is as follows:

  • Accepted articles will be published online ahead of print.
  • The journal will print a limited number of hard copies of each issue.
  • The hard copies will be distributed to libraries and other institutions.
  • Authors will receive a complimentary copy of the hard copy of their article.

The journal reserves the right to change its paper prints policy at any time.

    • The article's title
    • The author's name(s)
    • The reason for the withdrawal
  • Withdrawal requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The journal editor-in-chief will make a decision based on the following factors:
    • The stage of the publication process at which the withdrawal request is made
    • The reason for the withdrawal
    • The potential impact of the withdrawal on the journal
  • If the withdrawal request is granted, the article will be withdrawn from the journal's website and all other online platforms. The article will also be removed from the journal's citation index.

The withdrawal policy for IJBR is in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). You can find more information about COPE's guidelines on their website: https://publicationethics.org/

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when requesting a withdrawal from IJBR:

  • The withdrawal request must be submitted before the article is published. Once the article has been published, it can only be withdrawn in exceptional circumstances.
  • The withdrawal request will not be considered if the article has already been cited by other authors.
  • The withdrawal of an article may have negative consequences for the authors, such as the loss of funding or the inability to publish their work in other journals.

If you are considering withdrawing an article from IJBR, you should carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision. You should also consult with your research supervisor or another experienced researcher before submitting a withdrawal request.
